Continuing the spirit of Thanksgiving, Bedford Park is conducting a donation drive for the Daily Bread Food Bank by participating in Sarah & Claire’s Food Drive. In 2018, there was approximately 1 million food bank visits in Toronto and nearly 1/3 of the food bank clients were children. This year the need is even greater! The students form Ms. Yip, Ms. Malouin and Ms. Barletta’s classes are leading the donation drive this year. It will run from October 8th to October 16th.
This year as a school we will be collecting the following items:
- Peanut Butter
- Pasta
- Rice
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Fish ex. tuna, salmon etc.
- Canned Beans ex, lentils, chickpeas etc.
- Canned soups, stews or chili
- Oatmeal
- Baby food, formula
