Do you find yourself scratching your head wondering what ‘COMMUNITY NIGHT’ is all about, well put your mind at ease, here are some facts to help you make sense of it all! Community Night is Bedford Park’s largest single fundraiser. Held every year, (for over 50 years!), it helps fund all the great enrichment programs for our kids. It is an indoor fun-fair where each classroom is magically transformed into a fun activity for all to enjoy, kids & parents alike! There are game rooms, face-painting rooms, a bouncy castle, sports rooms, Teen Town, just to name a few. There are rooms for every age group to ensure that whether your kids are JK or graduating from Grade 8 they will find there is something for everyone!
We also have some new and exciting additions to this year’s roster that are sure to amaze! And, don’t worry about dinner! Start off your evening in the gym where you will find pizza, hotdogs, mac‘n’cheese, sushi & more! The Cafe will offer yummy homemade treats by our very own students, and the hallways will offer indulgences for that sweet (or salty!) tooth! Pre-order the all-you-can-play wristband ($20) for your kids that will cover most of what’s on offer. There are a few special activities that will require the purchase of tickets, signs will be posted, and don’t worry both wristbands & tickets can be purchased on April 12th! There is PRIZE EXTRAVAGANZA that will have your eyes popping in the hopes of winning some great loot, great take-aways like decorate a pot & plant a special seed to take home to watch grow, and don’t forget about BOTTLE BONANZA, transform a mason jar into something fabulous to donate, and get one to take home and enjoy! We also have the support of our community with rooms designated for TANDEM DANCE, FREEHAND ART and DiVrge! We have SCIENCE IS COOL this year with awesome experiments for you to see, and one of the favourites – the BUTTON ROOM – come in and make your own button to show off your artistry wherever you go!
The GRAND FINALE will take you back to the gym where all the kids love to watch their teachers get a pie in the face – YES you heard right – we have the PIE-A-TEACHER event to cap off this great event. Book April 12th in your calendar for Community Night 2018 as you won’t want to miss this! Doors open at 5:30pm for food with activities starting at 6pm.
