Digital Library Card
For those who do not currently have a library card, TPL offers a new “instant” digital card. This card gives non-TPL cardholders in Toronto free, temporary access to OverDrive, our largest collection of ebooks and audiobooks which includes children’s fiction, non-fiction and picture book titles. To register for a card or to learn more, click HERE.
Online Programs and Resources
From storytimes to STEM activities, author visits and workshops, explore and discover online programs at tpl.ca/programs. Bonus, you don’t need a library card to participate!
We also have free online homework help from Brainfuse, fun activities like jokes and riddles on our TPL Kids site and stories over the phone with Dial-a-Story – we’re sure you and your students will be able to find something that will appeal to your individual needs! For more resources, click HERE.
Summer Reading and Learning
We know that summer learning loss may be of particular concern this year for teachers and families. TPL’s Summer Wonder programs are designed to encourage exploration and discovery, and will be available online starting June 22nd! Check out our TPL website and TPL Kids sites in June to see more of what’s in store this summer.
In addition, the TD Summer Reading Club is moving online this summer! The website will launch on June 15th and kids will be able to create an online notebook to track their reading, read ebooks, write stories, participate in weekly trivia, view author and illustrator workshops, and more!
