Athletics

Outside Gym Class

There is no shortage of competitive sports outside ‘gym’ class at Bedford! Generally, extra curricular athletics begins for students in Grade 4, but in some cases earlier such as cross country. Here’s the line up for what will be offered in 2017/18 for Bedford boys and girls. Check the Bedford Blues for all the updated practice times.

Students initially qualify to go to the first regional track meet based on results from the Bedford Track day. Try-outs for specific disciplines occur at specified times (i.e hurdles) which begin in May. Students who qualify at Bedford can go to the conference, which takes place in early June. Those students who qualify from there move on to regionals and finally can qualify for the city finals in late June.
